Job SummaryThe Team Leader – Sales is responsible for leading and managing a team of Sales Consultants / Key Experience Consultants (KEC) to achieve vehicle sales targets. The role focuses on guiding the team in customer handling, lead management, product presentation, and closing sales while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
- Key Responsibilities1. Team Leadership & SupervisionLead, supervise, and motivate a team of Sales Consultants.
- Assign daily leads and showroom walk-ins to team members.
- Monitor daily sales activities and performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and briefings.
- 2. Sales Target AchievementEnsure achievement of monthly and quarterly vehicle sales targets.
- Monitor individual and team performance against targets.
- Assist team members in negotiation and closing deals with customers.
- 3. Customer Handling & ExperienceEnsure excellent customer service at the showroom.
- Handle customer escalations and complex sales situations.
- Ensure smooth test drive and vehicle delivery processes.
- 4. Lead & CRM ManagementTrack all customer inquiries from walk-ins, digital platforms, and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure proper follow-up and lead conversion by the sales team.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and sales reports.
- 5. Training & DevelopmentTrain team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and dealership processes.
- Conduct role plays and product demonstration training.
- Support new sales consultants in onboarding and learning.
- 6. Coordination with DepartmentsCoordinate with Finance & Insurance (F&I) team for loan and insurance processes.
- Work with the marketing team for promotional campaigns and events.
- Ensure proper coordination with the delivery and service teams.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Team monthly vehicle sales targets
- Lead conversion ratio
- Test drive to sales conversion rate
- Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)
- Repeat and referral sales
- Required QualificationsGraduate in any discipline (MBA in Marketing preferred).
- 3–6 years of experience in automobile sales.
- Minimum 1–2 years experience in team handling or supervisory role.
- Required SkillsLeadership and team management
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer relationship management
- Knowledge of CRM and sales reporting
- Preferred ExperienceExperience working in automobile dealerships such as passenger vehicle or commercial vehicle showrooms.
- Good understanding of vehicle features, variants, financing, and insurance products.
