Job SummaryThe Team Leader – Sales is responsible for leading and managing a team of Sales Consultants / Key Experience Consultants (KEC) to achieve vehicle sales targets. The role focuses on guiding the team in customer handling, lead management, product presentation, and closing sales while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.

  • Key Responsibilities1. Team Leadership & SupervisionLead, supervise, and motivate a team of Sales Consultants.
  • Assign daily leads and showroom walk-ins to team members.
  • Monitor daily sales activities and performance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and briefings.
  • 2. Sales Target AchievementEnsure achievement of monthly and quarterly vehicle sales targets.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against targets.
  • Assist team members in negotiation and closing deals with customers.
  • 3. Customer Handling & ExperienceEnsure excellent customer service at the showroom.
  • Handle customer escalations and complex sales situations.
  • Ensure smooth test drive and vehicle delivery processes.
  • 4. Lead & CRM ManagementTrack all customer inquiries from walk-ins, digital platforms, and marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure proper follow-up and lead conversion by the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and sales reports.
  • 5. Training & DevelopmentTrain team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and dealership processes.
  • Conduct role plays and product demonstration training.
  • Support new sales consultants in onboarding and learning.
  • 6. Coordination with DepartmentsCoordinate with Finance & Insurance (F&I) team for loan and insurance processes.
  • Work with the marketing team for promotional campaigns and events.
  • Ensure proper coordination with the delivery and service teams.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Team monthly vehicle sales targets
  • Lead conversion ratio

  • Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)

  • Required QualificationsGraduate in any discipline (MBA in Marketing preferred).
  • 3–6 years of experience in automobile sales.
  • Minimum 1–2 years experience in team handling or supervisory role.
  • Required SkillsLeadership and team management
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer relationship management
  • Knowledge of CRM and sales reporting
  • Preferred ExperienceExperience working in automobile dealerships such as passenger vehicle or commercial vehicle showrooms.
  • Good understanding of vehicle features, variants, financing, and insurance products.
