## 📊 Key Roles & Responsibilities in Manufacturing

### 1. **Financial Reporting & General Ledger**

- Prepare and review **financial statements** (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).  

- Manage **month-end and year-end closing processes**.  

- Maintain and reconcile **general ledger accounts** tied to production and inventory.  

- Record transactions for **sales, purchases, payroll, AR/AP, and banking**.  

### 2. **Cost Accounting & Inventory Management**

- Calculate **product costs** (direct, indirect, overheads, variances).  

- Collaborate with production and sales teams to ensure **profit margins** are maintained.  

- Monitor **inventory valuation and reporting** for raw materials and finished goods.  

- Identify **cost-saving opportunities** and efficiency improvements in manufacturing.  

### 3. **Budgeting & Forecasting**

- Assist in preparing **annual budgets and periodic forecasts**.  

- Track actual performance vs. budget, explaining **variances**.  

- Align financial goals with **operational objectives**.  

### 4. **Taxation & Compliance**

- **GST:** Handle monthly/quarterly GST returns, input tax credit reconciliation, and ensure compliance with GST laws.  

- **TDS:** Deduct, deposit, and file TDS returns on salaries, vendor payments, and contracts.  

- **ITR:** Prepare and file annual Income Tax Returns for the company, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.  

- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities for compliance.  

### 5. **Process Improvement & Decision Support**

- Streamline accounting processes linked to manufacturing.  

- Provide **financial analysis** for product lines, production capacity, and capital investments.  

- Support management with **strategic insights** for operational decisions.
