Senior Interior Designer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer who can independently manage client interactions, design development, technical documentation, material selection, and on-site execution.

The ideal candidate should combine strong creative visualization with practical technical knowledge and confidently guide clients from initial discussions to clear, well-informed design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and understand their functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.
• Translate client discussions into practical, creative, and executable design solutions.
• Present design concepts clearly and help clients arrive at constructive and well-informed decisions.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, consultants, and site teams.
• Conduct site visits and resolve design, execution, and technical issues.
• Assist clients with material, finish, furniture, lighting, and colour selections.
• Develop visually balanced colour combinations and cohesive interior concepts.
• Monitor project quality, design intent, timelines, and site execution.
• Provide timely and practical solutions to challenges arising during the project.

Technical Skills Required

The candidate should have strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and be capable of independently preparing detailed working drawings, including:

• Furniture layout plans
• Detailed floor plans
• Sections and sectional details
• Reflected ceiling plans (RCPs)
• Electrical and lighting plans
• Conduit plans
• Flooring and ceiling layouts
• Wall elevations
• Furniture and joinery details
• Kitchen, wardrobe, and other interior detail drawings
• Material and finish specifications

Strong working knowledge of SketchUp is also required for three-dimensional design visualization and concept development.

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in residential and/or commercial interior design.
• Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, hardware, lighting, furniture, and construction methods.
• Excellent understanding of technical drawings and site execution.
• Good design sense, spatial planning ability, and colour visualization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in handling client meetings and presentations independently.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation abilities.
• Mature, composed, solution-oriented, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to convert design discussions into practical, aesthetically pleasing, and executable decisions.
