Role Overview:

The Microsoft Intune Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for architecting, implementing, migrating, and supporting enterprise-scale device and application management solutions using Microsoft Intune. This role acts as the highest level of technical authority for Intune within managed services, transformation programs, or internal IT organizations, providing design leadership, advanced troubleshooting, and governance alignment.
The role is typically hands-on and heavily involved in endpoint modernization initiatives, including SCCM/MECM to Intune migration, Autopilot-based provisioning, security hardening, and automation-driven operations.


Key Responsibilities
1. Intune Architecture & Design
Own the end-to-end architecture of Microsoft Intune in enterprise or multi-tenant environments
Design scalable solutions for:
o Windows 10/11
o Windows 365 Cloud PC
o iOS / iPadOS
o Android Enterprise
o macOS
2. Device Enrollment & Provisioning
Lead and optimize device onboarding using:
o Windows Autopilot
o Entra ID (Azure AD) Join / Hybrid Join
o User-driven and pre-provisioned scenarios
Integrate Autopilot with:
o Security baselines
o Configuration profiles
o Compliance and Conditional Access

3. Application Packaging & Deployment
Migrate applications from MECM/SCCM to Intune
Package and deploy applications including:
o Win32 apps
o Microsoft Store apps
o Line-of-business (LOB) applications
Define:
o Detection rules
o Supersedence and dependencies
o App deployment ring strategies

4. Endpoint Security & Compliance
Configure and manage:
o Compliance policies
o Device configuration profiles
o Endpoint security policies
o Microsoft Defender for Endpoint integration
Align Intune compliance with:
o Conditional Access
o Zero Trust principles
o Corporate security standards

5. Automation & Scripting
Develop and maintain PowerShell automation for:
o Enrollment remediation
o Application installation / cleanup
o Device recovery and reprovisioning
Support automated device lifecycle operations

6. Troubleshooting & Advanced Support
Act as L3/L4 escalation point for:
o Autopilot failures
o Enrollment issues
o App deployment failures
o Policy conflict and sync issues
Support migration waves, cutovers, and stabilization phases

o Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

This role focuses on maintaining high standards of service quality by effectively communicating with clients and internal teams. The practitioner dedicates time to understanding client concerns, accurately identifying issues, and ensuring smooth operation of systems through thoughtful problem resolution. The position requires attentiveness to client needs and a commitment to sustaining the reliability and performance of world-class applications in a dynamic environment.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with device management and configuration using Microsoft Intune.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to application deployment and system integration.
- Ability to analyze and resolve client issues with a focus on maintaining system stability.
- Familiarity with endpoint security and compliance policies within managed environments.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Intune.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
