Job Description

Assistant Vice President, IT

The AVP, IT is responsible for the end to end operational management of technology platforms. Key platform
Responsibilities include application support, platform testing, problem/incident management, capacity management, change management, middle ware and database support, platform engineering, platform monitoring, platform tools and efficient engagement/integration with enterprise and wholesale engineering and support teams. This role is primarily focused on day-to-day operational execution, but will include contribution to strategic planning (20% Strategic/40% Tactical/40% Transactional).
Responsibilities Administer firm-wide plan for IT function. 30% Determine firm-wide plan for business intelligence as it pertains to architecture and design of systems and applications. 25% Implement firm-wide technology strategy including development or procurement. 30% Management of direct reports. 10% Other IT management projects as assigned. 5% Education Required: Bachelor's; Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering OR Math, Finance, Other Preferred: Master's/Advanced; Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering Language Required: Fluent in English Experience Required: Typically 10 years business experience. Individual is expected to be subject are expert in multiple or specific skill sets, business areas or products.. Mastery of relevant programming languages (Java). Technical expertise at such a level as to act as an internally and externally reliable, knowledgeable resource. Ability to develop and exercises business plans, policies and procedures and may be responsible for various projects to improve efficiencies.. Preferred: Experience working for a publicly traded company in a similar role. Good interpersonal skills..
