Role Overview: The Director of Resource Management is pivotal in formulating and executing strategic workforce planning initiatives within the KGS Advisory team. This role requires a strategic thinker who can leverage data-driven insights to forecast staffing needs, optimize talent utilization, and enhance operational excellence and lead a team of resource management professionals
Key responsibilities include:
• Strategic Workforce Planning & Development:
o Holistic Staffing Model: Develop and implement a forward-thinking staffing model that utilizes data-driven insights to forecast future staffing needs accurately. Incorporate factors such as skill set availability, project timelines, and market trends to ensure agility and strategic alignment with business goals.
o Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with Service Network and Line Leaders to understand detailed resourcing needs, providing data-informed hiring recommendations or internal redeployment strategies that optimize talent utilization.
• Operational Management Excellence:
o Capacity Planning & Monitoring: Lead the execution of comprehensive workforce capacity planning, ensuring timely and precise alignment with project demands. Oversee the creation and distribution of regular reports that detail capacity planning, utilization metrics, and compliance with defined KPIs.
o Analytical Oversight: Conduct in-depth analysis of forecasting models, utilization rates, hiring activities, and bench status. Develop and recommend strategic corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reduce operational gaps.
• Dashboard and Reporting Oversight:
o Performance Tracking: Oversee the development and maintenance of sophisticated dashboards that offer predictive insights into forecasting trends, demand pipeline management, and staffing metrics. Ensure data accuracy and usefulness for decision-making.
• Process Standardization & Improvement:
o Global Process Harmonization: Drive efforts to standardize resource management practices across business units and geographical locations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
o Innovation & Efficiency: Spearhead initiatives to enhance process efficiencies and innovations in resource management practices that align with cutting-edge industry trends.
• Demand & Supply Management:
o Review demand inflow and build strategies to manage supply Including collaborating internally with other resource management/ business teams within KPMG and third party Contractors.
o Develop integrated demand and supply management strategies to match workforce capabilities with evolving project requirements. Utilize analytics to anticipate changes in demand, ensuring proactive resource readiness and optimal deployment.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building:
o Engagement Strategy: Actively engage in strategic meetings with key internal and external stakeholders. Establish and nurture relationships with Network and Line Leaders, ensuring alignment and trust as a business advisor.
• Team Leadership:
o Mentorship & Development: Lead a diverse team of Resource Managers, encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth. Promote a healthy work-life balance while recognizing and celebrating team accomplishments.
o Innovative Culture: Inspire the team to develop and implement creative solutions to resource management challenges, enhancing the overall RM brand within the organization.
Candidate should have 15+ years of experience.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (e.g., BBM, BCA, BCom, BA, BSc, BE).A postgraduate diploma or degree from an accredited institution (e.g., MBA, MCom).
