What you'll do
As a Finance Stress Test Associate, you’ll assist with the regular operation of business-wide data platform ReMaP. You’ll contribute to the regular production of client-based and product-based sensitivity analysis to assist business decision making.
We’ll look to you to support baseline and live management of plans to manage and track internal stress test and regulatory stress test deliverables, such as ICAAP, Bank of England and European Banking Authority stress tests. Additionally, you’ll have regular interaction with internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholders on controls management, plans, issues and ad-hoc items, EUDA, RACI matrix and RCA.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Liaising with local technology teams on system developments and making sure the systems are maintained and up to date for the execution of on-demand stress tests
- Providing quality assurance review of evidences controls checks throughout the full lifecycle of a stress test exercise from scenario generation to execution, governance and closure
- Managing control checks throughout key points in the stress test cycle, owning and controlling supporting documentation with emphasis on auditable evidence and management of issue log
- Assisting with finance controls, SOX and stress testing MI dashboard
- Working in close collaboration with Internal Audit, designing and embedding a process structure for audit field work and regulatory attestations
The skills you'll need
To excel in this role, you’ll need a qualification in B.Tech, MBA or CA from a tier-1 institute. You’ll also need an understanding of investment banking and trading, with knowledge of different products that investment banking trades in, their risks and the types of clients they service.
In addition, you should demonstrate:
- Experience in Stress Testing or Treasury Capital or Balance Sheet Management or Financial Modelling
- A qualification in CFA/FRM is preferred.
- Atleast two years of hands on experience in Python programming, including ability to work with large datasets, perform complex data analysis, and derive meaningful insights.
- Experience in AWS is preferable4.
- Strong understanding of bank’s balance sheet including drivers of P&L, capital, and liquidity along with good knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as BoE/PRA/ECB stress tests, ICAAP and capital management
