Job Description

Financial Control Manager, VP

Join us as a Financial Control Manager

  • You’ll lead the delivery and integrity of monthly financials, from balance sheet and P&L to statutory and change‑related reporting, across a diverse portfolio of programmes
  • We’ll look to build strong partnerships across finance, programme teams and senior stakeholders, giving your work visibility and influence in how decisions get made
  • Shape financial transparency in a dynamic project environment, using your insight and judgement to drive clarity, confidence and better business outcomes
  • We're offering this role at vice president level

What you'll do

As Financial Control Manager, you’ll lead your team to deliver accurate, high‑quality financial information and drive a culture of data discipline across the change portfolio. You’ll set and maintain the control frameworks and governance standards that align our activity to strategy, the operating model and the bank’s process architecture. You’ll also work with finance and programme partners to strengthen visibility, support decision‑making and create consistency in how financial performance is understood and communicated.

In addition, you’ll:

  • Manage end‑to‑end financials for the Investment CoE, covering actuals, capitalisation assessments, journals, forecasting and cost tracking with clear articulation of risks, variances and opportunities
  • Uphold strong financial governance across the change portfolio, safeguarding compliance with Group policies, audit requirements and internal controls
  • Deliver substantiation, reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet and P&L results, applying strong controls and commercial understanding
  • Partner with finance teams, programme managers, PMO and senior stakeholders to drive informed, timely and evidence‑based decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, tooling and controls, helping the team evolve and strengthen its contribution to change delivery

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for an individual with significant experience working across large, multinational financial services organisations, ideally with exposure to global working, and a proven ability to lead and develop teams. You’ll guide stakeholders with sound judgement and commercially grounded insight. Your foundation in financial control, accounting and cost management will help you shape accurate reporting and strengthen financial governance across the portfolio. You will also need to thrive in a fast‑paced project environment, bringing adaptability and cultural leadership to steer teams through change and generate practical options to achieve shared objectives.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • At least twelve years of experience with a CA qualification, with a strong grounding in cost FP&A and financial accounting
  • Experience in Financial Control functions, ideally supported by Big Four or similar high‑quality background
  • Strong analytical capability and proficiency in accounting processes, including ledger closure, project cost accounting and management of intangible assets
  • Excellent communication skills, translating financial details into clear, actionable insight with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience, including tools like Oracle, Tableau or Adaptive Insights
  • Ease with working in a fast‑paced project environment, with the ability to guide team culture and generate options to achieve shared objectives
