The Strategic Advisor is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for providing strategic guidance and advice to business stakeholders to help them achieve their organizational goals and objectives.
This role works with a variety of stakeholders within a business area(s) to create short-term to medium-term strategic plans to help improve its operations to increase overall profitability.
- Provides strategic advice to management stakeholders on how the organization can improve its operations to increase profitability.
- Examines financial reports to identify areas of weakness that may require additional investment.
- Monitors industry trends to identify opportunities and threats to the business model.
- Identifies external factors that could affect the success of the business operations.
- Assesses the strengths and weaknesses of competitors so that strategies can be developed to beat the competition.
- Analyses market trends to determine which products and / or services will be most profitable for organization to invest in.
- Works with management stakeholders to create short-term to medium-term strategic plans to achieve business objectives
- May recommend changes such as changes to organizational structures or business processes etc. that will increase efficiencies
- Performs any other strategic advisory task as requested by management / leadership.
- Seasoned understanding required of the specific industry.
- Ability to find solutions to challenging and often complex problems.
- Seasoned analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and make data-driven strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex ideas and influence decision-makers.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, anticipate future challenges, and develop proactive solutions.
- Seasoned business acumen and understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Collaborative, with the capacity to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Seasoned experience as a strategic advisor, management consultant, or in a similar strategic consultancy role.
- Seasoned experienced working within a global matrixed organization.
- Seasoned experience guiding on strategic projects and the success outcomes of those projects.
