Senior Manager -Health Process training
Role Summary
The Senior Manager – Health Process Training is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of training programs within the Health Benefits Operations domain. This role ensures that employees are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and skills required to deliver high-quality services across health benefits administration processes, while driving continuous improvement in performance, compliance, and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the training strategy for Health Benefits operations aligned with organizational objectives
- Lead and manage a team of trainers and instructional designers
- Establish training frameworks to support onboarding, cross-skilling, and continuous learning
- Drive a culture of learning and performance excellence across teams
2. Learning Design & Development
- Design and develop training content including SOPs, presentations, e-learning modules, simulations, and job aids
- Continuously update training materials based on process changes, client requirements, and regulatory updates
- Standardize training approaches across projects and geographies
3. Training Delivery
- Oversee and ensure effective delivery of instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training programs
- Support critical training interventions such as new client transitions, system implementations, and annual enrollment periods
- Ensure consistency and quality of training delivery across all programs
4. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, HR, and Client teams to identify training needs
- Partner with business leaders to align training initiatives with productivity and quality goals
- Act as a key liaison between training and business functions
5. Performance & Quality Improvement
- Analyze training effectiveness using metrics such as assessment scores, quality audits, productivity, and error trends
- Implement targeted refresher and remediation programs to address performance gaps
- Drive initiatives to reduce errors and improve service delivery outcomes
6. Learning Operations & Governance
- Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and maintain training records, reports, and dashboards
- Define and track key training KPIs and SLAs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and client-specific requirements
7. Subject Matter Expertise
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in health benefits processes including enrollment, eligibility, and compliance
- Provide guidance on process improvements, knowledge transitions, and best practices
- Support business during critical cycles such as open enrollment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Healthcare, or related field
- 10–15+ years of experience with at least 5–7 years in training/learning roles
- Strong experience in Health Benefits Administration or HR outsourcing domain
- Proven experience in managing training teams and large-scale programs
