Job Description

Job Summary:

The Front Office Receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk operations of the hotel, ensuring a warm welcome to guests, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves handling guest check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and addressing guest inquiries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests in a polite and professional manner
  • Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures
  • Manage room reservations, bookings, and cancellations
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and respond to guest inquiries
  • Maintain guest records and update information in the system
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
  • Handle guest complaints and ensure quick resolution
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments for smooth operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
  • Handle billing, payments, and issue receipts

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a receptionist or front office executive (preferably in a hotel)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hotel management software
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

  • Graduate
  • Diploma or certification in hospitality management is an added advantage
