Job Description
Job SummaryThe HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, attendance, payroll coordination, compliance, policy implementation, training and development, and employee relations. The role focuses on building a productive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Talent AcquisitionDevelop and execute recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, interview, and shortlist candidates.
- Coordinate interviews with department heads.
- Prepare offer letters and employment contracts.
- Manage campus hiring and internship programs.
- Maintain a recruitment database and hiring reports.
- 2. Employee Onboarding & InductionConduct employee induction and orientation.
- Complete documentation and background verification.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new employees.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files.
- 3. Attendance & Leave ManagementMonitor employee attendance and punctuality.
- Manage leave records and approvals.
- Track check-in/check-out compliance.
- Generate attendance reports.
- 4. Payroll & CompensationCoordinate monthly payroll processing.
- Verify attendance, leave, overtime, and deductions.
- Maintain confidentiality of salary and compensation information.
- Assist in compensation reviews and salary revisions.
- 5. Performance ManagementDesign and implement performance appraisal systems.
- Conduct probation and confirmation evaluations.
- Monitor employee performance and productivity.
- Coordinate performance improvement plans where required.
- 6. Employee RelationsAddress employee concerns and grievances.
- Promote a positive and professional workplace culture.
- Conduct disciplinary meetings when necessary.
- Ensure effective communication between management and employees.
- 7. HR Policies & ComplianceDevelop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain employee handbooks and HR documentation.
- Handle disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
- 8. Training & DevelopmentIdentify employee training needs.
- Organize internal and external training programs.
- Track employee learning and development initiatives.
- Support career growth and succession planning.
- 9. HR AdministrationMaintain HR databases and employee records.
- Prepare HR reports and dashboards.
- Manage HR correspondence and documentation.
- Coordinate employee benefits and insurance, where applicable.
- 10. Employee EngagementOrganize employee engagement activities.
- Celebrate employee achievements and milestones.
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys.
- Foster teamwork and a collaborative work environment.
- Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources is preferred.
- Experience3–7 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a managerial role.
