Restaurant Captain

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Captain for our Indian cuisine outlet. The candidate will be responsible for supervising floor operations, ensuring excellent guest service, and maintaining high standards of food presentation and hospitality.

• Key Responsibilities:Supervise daily restaurant floor operations and ensure smooth service
• Greet and welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Assist guests with menu selection, especially Indian dishes, and recommend specials
• Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order service
• Handle guest complaints and ensure quick resolution to maintain satisfaction
• Train, guide, and monitor stewards and service staff
• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and hygiene standards
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
• Upsell food and beverages to achieve sales targets
• Maintain knowledge of Indian cuisine, ingredients, and preparation styles
• Collect guest feedback and report to management for improvement
• Requirements:2–5 years of experience as Restaurant Captain / Sr. Steward (preferably in Indian cuisine)
• Strong knowledge of Indian food (North Indian, Mughlai, Tandoor, etc.)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and team management abilities
• Ability to work in fast-paced restaurant environment
• Basic computer knowledge (POS systems)
