ML Engineer — Intelligence Systems

Deep Horizon is building intelligence infrastructure for law enforcement and government security agencies in India.
We operate in low-infrastructure, high-consequence environments where the quality of intelligence directly impacts real-world operations.
This is not a research lab. This is production intelligence.
Role Overview
You will own and build the machine learning layer across our intelligence stack.
This includes:
- NLP pipelines across multilingual, noisy data
- Signal fusion and confidence modelling
- Real-time AI systems deployed in production environments
You are expected to move end-to-end — from problem framing → model design → production deployment, without a handoff layer.
Core Responsibilities
1. Ingestion & NLP Pipelines
- Multilingual NLP (English, Hindi, regional languages)
- Named entity recognition & relationship extraction
- Narrative tracking across fragmented digital sources
- Relevance scoring and threshold optimisation
2. Fusion & Confidence Modelling
- Multi-source confidence scoring systems
- Temporal + geospatial signal correlation
- Convergence detection and escalation logic
- Source trust calibration using historical outcomes
3. Event Intelligence Systems
- Event schema normalization across heterogeneous inputs
- Pattern recognition across time and geography
- Anomaly detection and route clustering
- Explainability layers for command-level decisioning
4. Real-Time AI Systems
- AI voice briefings (TTS + structured intelligence synthesis)
- Real-time dispatch intelligence & prioritization
- Automated structured debrief generation
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have
- Strong ML fundamentals (you understand the model, not just the API)
- Production NLP experience (classification, NER, IR systems)
- Python proficiency (clean, maintainable, production-grade code)
- Backend familiarity (APIs, pipelines, databases)
- Ability to operate in ambiguity (problem-first, not spec-first)
Good-to-Have
- Multilingual / low-resource NLP
- Geospatial data processing
- Real-time / streaming inference systems
- Bayesian or probabilistic modelling
- TTS / voice synthesis systems
