Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for installation, wiring, testing, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including both mechanical installation of panels and electrical connections (DC & AC) at site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar panels, mounting structures, and support systems
- Perform DC wiring (solar panels to inverter) and AC wiring (inverter to main distribution board)
- Install and connect inverters, junction boxes, distribution boards, and earthing systems
- Carry out cable laying, routing, termination, and dressing
- Assist in site survey and follow layout/design drawings
- Ensure proper alignment, tilt, and structure strength of panels
- Test systems, identify faults, and assist in commissioning
- Follow all electrical and site safety standards (PPE mandatory)
- Troubleshoot electrical and installation issues
- Maintain tools, equipment, and site discipline
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and team members
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of solar PV systems and electrical wiring
- Understanding of DC & AC connections and safety practices
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings
- Skilled in use of electrical and installation tools
- Ability to work at heights and outdoor conditions
- Problem-solving and teamwork skills
