Mechanical Design Engineer

Design Engineer – Mould Design | Tool Room

Qualification: Diploma / BE / PG Diploma in Tool Design

Experience: 2–5 Years

Preferred Background: NTTF / CIPET / Reputed Tool Design Institutes

• Independently design medium to complex injection moulds and electrodes.
• Prepare DFM reports, 3D mould designs, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Create BOMs, child parts, and electrode designs.
• Review, verify, and release mould designs as per standards.
• Conduct self-checks to ensure design accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.
• Guide junior designers in concept development, detailing, and drawing creation.
• Support mould design reviews and provide technical solutions for complex features.
• Ensure adherence to design standards, schedules, and document control requirements.
• Maintain design records, engineering data, and design hour tracking.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and project teams to ensure smooth execution.

Required Skills:

✅ Strong expertise in DFM, 3D Mould Design & 2D Drawing Creation

✅ Hands-on experience in NX (Unigraphics) and AutoCAD

✅ Knowledge of Hot Runner Systems and HRS Mould Design

✅ Understanding of Steel Grade Selection & Heat Treatment Processes

✅ Knowledge of Surface Finishing Technologies

✅ BOM Preparation and Design Documentation

✅ Ability to interpret customer requirements and manufacturing constraints

✅ Strong problem-solving and mentoring skills
