QA / QC Executive

Key Responsibilities

1. Raw Material & Pre-production Inspection

• Inspect incoming knitted fabrics (greige and dyed) for defects like needle lines, bowing, and GSM (grams per square meter) variations.
• Check fabric for shade consistency, shrinkage, and proper relaxation prior to cutting.
• Ensure all trims, accessories, and lab test reports meet the approved tech pack.
• Check the pre-production sample (PP sample) and size sets for pattern accuracy and workmanship. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

2. In-Line (Inline) Inspection

• Conduct routine checks on the sewing floor to catch issues early (e.g., skip stitches, uneven seams, or oil stains).
• Monitor operators to ensure they strictly follow approved sample specifications, measurement charts, and construction standards.
• Verify that critical knit parameters (loop density, stitch length) are maintained during assembly.
• Issue rework/alteration tickets to operators for defective pieces and follow up on corrective actions. [1, 2, 3, 4]

3. End-Line & Final Random Inspection (FRI)

• Inspect the finished garments (pressing, folding, and packing) before shipment.
• Perform final audits using statistical sampling plans like Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) standards (typically using General Inspection Level II).
• Check packaging, polybags, carton dimensions, and shipping labels for compliance with buyer requirements. [1, 2, 3]

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Textile Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, or Fashion Design.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years in a knit garment manufacturing or apparel export unit.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of knit fabric behavior, needle types, sewing machine operations, and stretch tolerances.
• Soft Skills: Ability to read technical specification sheets (Tech Packs), strong attention to detail, and good verbal/written communication for defect reporting
