Staff Nurse

Job Summary:

A Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, monitoring patient health, administering medications and treatments, coordinating with healthcare teams, and ensuring a safe and clean healthcare environment. The role demands clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to respond quickly to patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.

Monitor patient condition and report any changes to the physician or medical team.

Administer medications, injections, IVs, and other prescribed treatments.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Prepare patients for tests, procedures, or surgeries.

Assist doctors during medical procedures.

Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and care instructions.

Ensure infection control practices are followed.

Support patient recovery and rehabilitation plans.

Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations.

Maintain inventory and request medical supplies when needed.

Requirements:

Diploma or B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.

Registered Nurse (RN) license or equivalent certification.

Prior experience in clinical or hospital settings preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare protocols.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Basic computer and documentation skills.
