About the RoleSri Gayathri School is seeking a passionate and technology-driven Computer Teacher to educate students from Grades 3 to 9. • Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons for Grades 3–9.
• Teach fundamental computer concepts, digital literacy, and responsible internet usage.
• Instruct students in applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and internet research.
• Introduce programming concepts using age-appropriate platforms such as Scratch, HTML, Python, and AI basics.
• Conduct practical computer lab sessions and ensure active student participation.
• Develop students' logical thinking, problem-solving, and coding skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessments aligned with the curriculum.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain discipline and ensure the proper use and care of computer lab equipment.
• Encourage innovation through coding activities, quizzes, exhibitions, and technology-based projects.
• Stay updated with emerging educational technologies and integrate them into classroom teaching.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to incorporate technology into classroom learning.
• Communicate student progress effectively with parents and school management.
• EligibilityBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• B.Ed. qualification is preferred.
• Experience teaching Computer Science to primary and middle school students is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of computer applications, coding fundamentals, and digital tools.
• Required SkillsExcellent knowledge of Computer Science and Information Technology.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, HTML, Scratch, Python, and basic Artificial Intelligence concepts.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
