Position: Academic Coordinator

Job SummarySri Gayathri School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Academic Coordinator to lead and monitor the school's academic programs. The Academic Coordinator will ensure effective curriculum implementation, maintain high teaching standards, support teacher development, monitor student performance, and foster strong communication between the school and parents to achieve academic excellence.
- Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, implement, and monitor the academic calendar.
- Ensure timely completion of the syllabus across all grades.
- Supervise classroom teaching and conduct regular classroom observations.
- Guide teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and effective teaching strategies.
- Analyze student performance and implement academic improvement plans.
- Plan and coordinate examinations, assessments, and result analysis.
- Identify slow learners and gifted students and organize remedial and enrichment programs.
- Conduct regular teacher meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions.
- Coordinate Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and discuss student progress with parents.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, homework, and notebook maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with school academic policies and quality standards.
- Prepare academic reports and submit regular updates to the Principal and Management.
- Coordinate academic events, competitions, Olympiads, and enrichment activities.
- Promote the effective use of educational technology and innovative teaching methods.
- QualificationsMaster's Degree in any discipline with B.Ed. (M.Ed. preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in an academic leadership or coordination role is preferred.
- Required SkillsStrong academic planning and curriculum management.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Classroom observation and teacher coaching expertise.
- Data analysis and student performance monitoring.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and school ERP systems.
