Job Description – Accountant (Construction Company)
We are looking for an Accountant for our construction company who can manage daily financial operations efficiently. The candidate should have experience in maintaining accounts, handling bank transactions, filing taxes, and keeping financial and project-related records organized.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions
- Handle bank transfers, payments, and reconciliations
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes on time
- Maintain proper records of invoices, bills, vouchers, and important financial documents
- Track project expenses, vendor payments, and client receipts
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and government departments when required
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Requirements:
- Experience in accounting, preferably in construction or real estate industry
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, tax filing, and banking procedures
- Strong record-keeping and documentation skills
- Familiarity with accounting software like Tally, Zoho Books, or similar
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
