Assistant Manager-GDC
Roles & responsibilities
Support the engineering, availability, resiliency, performance, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of Audit portfolio applications.
Build, operate, and support cloud and infrastructure services across production and non‑production environments.
Monitor infrastructure and applications to ensure availability, resiliency, and performance meet defined SLAs.
Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, including a 24x7x365 follow‑the‑sun on‑call rotation.
Support environment upgrades, deployments, change management, and incident resolution activities.
Configure, secure, and monitor Microsoft Azure services using Azure DevOps pipelines and automation.
Apply DevOps and automation practices to improve efficiency, reliability, and consistency of infrastructure operations.
Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Platform, and Business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
Support backup, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements, including assistance with ITDR testing and audit evidence collection.
Proactively monitor capacity and performance trends to prevent failures or slowdowns.
Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Assist with vulnerability remediation, patching coordination, and end‑of‑life hardware and software transitions.
Experience with Azure monitoring and observability tooling, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Azure Managed Prometheus
Strong working knowledge of SQL Server, including backup/restore and performance troubleshooting.
Experience supporting containerized workloads and cloud‑native architectures.
Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools and configuration automation.
Familiarity with disaster recovery architectures, backup strategies, and resiliency testing.
Experience working with globally distributed teams and offshore delivery models.
Awareness of cloud cost optimization (FinOps) practices.

Mandatory technical & functional skills
7+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience, including 4+ years operating cloud‑first Microsoft Azure infrastructure in enterprise environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL / Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure App Service / Azure Container Apps, Azure Storage services
Strong hands‑on automation experience using PowerShell, with exposure to infrastructure as code and advanced automation patterns.
Solid understanding of cloud fundamentals, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
Experience implementing and supporting monitoring and logging for availability, diagnostics, performance, and logs.
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) workflows and basic CI/CD concepts.
Experience supporting production environments, including incident response and escalation handling.
