Job Title: Assistant Manager – Operations (5 Positions)


Location: Across Telangana (Centralized Kitchens)


Organization: The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Telangana Kitchens


Role SummaryWe are looking for dynamic and committed Assistant Managers – Operations to manage large-scale kitchen operations under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme and Breakfast Scheme across Telangana. The role involves handling bulk food production, ensuring quality, timely dispatch, and efficient team coordination.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily kitchen operations including production, dispatch, and distribution of meals.
  • Ensure meals are prepared as per menu, quantity, and timelines.
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (FSSAI, GMP, SOP compliance).
  • Manage and guide kitchen staff, ensuring discipline, attendance, and productivity.
  • Monitor raw material usage, wastage control, and cost efficiency (CPM).
  • Coordinate with maintenance, stores, and distribution teams for smooth operations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals to schools without disruption.
  • Maintain operational records, reports, and audit documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders when required.

Eligibility CriteriaEducation:

  • Graduate / Diploma in Hotel Management, Food Technology, Catering, or any relevant field

Experience:

  • 3–6 years of experience in bulk food production / centralized kitchens / catering / food industry
  • Experience in handling large teams is preferred
  • Key SkillsStrong operational and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to handle high-volume production
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Problem-solving and execution focus
  • Other RequirementsWillingness to work in early morning shifts
  • Flexibility to work across various locations in Telangana
