Assistant Manager – Oracle Data Migration

The Oracle Data Migration Professional will be responsible for the end-to-end design and execution of data migration activities for Oracle Cloud (Fusion) applications. The role involves extensive use of FBDI templates, SQL-based transformations, and collaboration with functional and technical teams to ensure accurate, secure, and audit-ready data loads. The consultant will also be expected to bring experience in process automation, reusable tools, or accelerators developed during previous migration projects to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort

• Analyze legacy systems and define source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and validation rules.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and end-to-end validation of migration datasets.
• Build, configure, and manage FBDI templates for various Oracle Fusion modules (Finance, SCM, Procurement, Projects, HCM).
• Execute data loads using FBDI, ADFDI, and HDL (where applicable), ensuring error-free and reconciled results.
• Develop advanced SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and automation of repetitive tasks.
• Troubleshoot load failures by reviewing ESS job logs, diagnostic reports, and error details and implementing corrective measures.
• Conduct SIT, UAT, mock runs, and cutover data loads, ensuring high-quality migration cycles.
• Collaborate closely with functional leads for validating migrated data and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed documentation: mapping sheets, rulebooks, runbooks, reconciliation trackers, and migration logs.
• Participate in cutover planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure a smooth go-live.
• Design or leverage automation tools, internal utilities, macros, scripts, or templates to reduce manual effort during extraction, file generation, validation, or reconciliation.
• Build or utilize internal accelerators such as automated FBDI generators, data quality scripts, exception dashboards, or reusable migration frameworks.

• Strong Oracle ERP data migration background, with solid experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud (typically 2–7 years)
• Strong hands-on experience with FBDI templates and Oracle Fusion import/load processes.
• SQL scripting and stored procedures (mandatory)
• Complex SQL for transformation, cleansing, and reconciliation
• Experience validating large volumes of migration data
• Experience analyzing load error logs, resolving load failures, and reprocessing corrected datasets.
• Understanding of functional data models across ERP modules like GL, AP, AR, FA, SCM, Procurement, and HCM.
• Experience developing migration artifacts—mapping documents, validation templates, trackers, and audit logs.
• Hands-on experience with any automation used during data migration, such as Automated FBDI file generation, SQL-driven data quality dashboards, Shell/Python scripts for file handling, Reusable migration frameworks or internally developed tools, Automated reconciliation scripts.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-team collaboration skills.
