Job Description Summary

The Associate Analyst, Field Execution Effectiveness will support day-to-day project activities focused on field execution analytics, working under close supervision of senior team members (Analyst, Sr. Analyst, Managers, etc.). The role involves executing defined analytical tasks, data extraction and processing, basic analysis, and preparation of outputs, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery aligned with project objectives. The Associate Analyst will primarily contribute through strong technical execution and a proactive learning approach.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Execute assigned analytical tasks including data extraction, transformation, and basic analysis as per defined requirements.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and support data preparation workflows using Python-based ETL processes.
• Perform structured data analysis and support development of analytical outputs under guidance.
• Prepare summaries of analyses and results using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in a clear and structured manner.
• Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and established processes/SOPs.
• Maintain organized documentation of work, including code, outputs, and assumptions.
• Actively participate in team discussions, knowledge sharing sessions, and learning initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with peers and seniors, seeking guidance when required to ensure accuracy of deliverables.

Essential Requirements:

Novartis seeks a highly motivated early-career individual with strong foundational technical skills and a willingness to learn and grow in the field of analytics. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to execute tasks with precision, adapt quickly to new tools and methodologies, and contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Additional qualifications are as follows:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related analytical field.
• 0–1 years of experience (internships, academic projects, or certifications in analytics/data science preferred).
• Basic proficiency in SQL and Python, with exposure to data manipulation and ETL processes.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking ability.
• High learning agility with demonstrated curiosity toward advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions.
• Self-motivated with strong ownership and a proactive approach to task execution.
• Good communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate outputs and assumptions.
