Associate Expert Data Science, Data & Digital
Job Description Summary
Design, development, and deployment of advanced AI, GenAI, and data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges and deliver scalable business value. Partner with stakeholders across TRD to understand business needs, translate requirements into robust technical architectures, and oversee the end-to-end solution lifecycle from proof-of-concept through production deployment.The position is based in the Genome Valley, Hyderabad, within the Technical Research and Development Organization (TRD) of Global Drug Development (GDD)
Job Description
Major accountabilities:
- Build and fine-tune algorithms that scale up from small-scale proof-of-concept to full production systems, applying SaaS, R, Python and other tools.
- Understand stakeholder and user requirements
- Structure problem domain and drive/define data, process, functional, and architectural requirements
- Provide in-depth technical and business knowledge to ensure efficient design, programming and implementation
- Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures
- Ensure maintenance of the proposed solutions
- Contribute and Lead GenAI/ other AI initiatives
Minimum Requirements:
- Btech with 1–3 years of relevant experience in data mining, text mining, and data discovery involving large, complex datasets from diverse information sources.
- Strong technical expertise in statistical and analytics tools such as Python, R, or Matlab/Octave, with exposure to machine learning, big data technologies, and advanced data analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data to generate actionable insights.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical drug development, particularly formulation and process development; exposure to GenAI-related projects is an added advantage.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and operate within security and compliance frameworks.
