ypical BRE Credit Card Job Description (JD)Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage credit-card approval rules in the Business Rule Engine.
- Translate credit policies, underwriting guidelines, and risk strategies into automated decision rules.
- Work with Risk, Product, Operations, and IT teams to implement decisioning logic.
- Analyze approval, decline, fraud, and portfolio performance trends.
- Perform rule testing, UAT, deployment, and post-production monitoring.
- Optimize straight-through processing (STP) and customer onboarding journeys.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Prepare MIS reports and conduct impact analysis for policy changes.
Required Skills
- Credit card/lending domain knowledge.
- Business Rule Engines such as FICO Blaze, Experian PowerCurve, Sentinel, IBM ODM, Drools, etc.
- SQL (mandatory in most roles).
- Understanding of credit bureau data, scorecards, underwriting, and risk policies.
- Data analysis and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of APIs, testing, and system integrations is often preferred.
Typical Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field).
- 2–8 years of experience in banking, NBFC, fintech, credit cards, or lending operations.
- Experience with credit decisioning systems and rule configuration.
