Job Description
A Resort Booking Field Marketing role bridges the gap between the resort's brand and the local market. Responsibilities include driving on-the-ground campaigns, building travel-agent partnerships, and collecting direct leads. The goal is to boost local awareness, generate walk-ins, and convert on-site prospects into confirmed resort bookings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partnership and B2B Networking
- Travel Agency Outreach: Regularly visit local and regional travel agencies, tour operators, and corporate event planners to pitch room packages, weekend getaways, and seasonal deals.
- Corporate Tie-Ups: Collaborate with local businesses to offer employee-discount programs or special weekday corporate retreat packages
2. On-Ground Promotions and Lead Generation
· Event Booths: Represent the resort at regional trade shows, travel fairs, consumer exhibitions, and community gatherings.
· Lead Capture: Engage face-to-face with potential guests, distribute promotional materials, and collect contact details (leads) for the resort booking team to follow up on.
· Promotional Stunts: Coordinate pop-up promotional booths in high-traffic commercial areas like malls or popular tourist spots to capture immediate interest.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis
- Competitor Tracking: Monitor nearby properties, noting their promotional pricing, package inclusions, and marketing tactics.
- Consumer Insights: Gather customer feedback from the field regarding what travellers look for (e.g., experiential stays, adventure activities) to share with the broader marketing and product teams
4. Campaign Localization and Material Distribution
- Collateral Distribution: Ensure local partners and tourist hubs are stocked with up-to-date marketing collateral, such as flyers, brochures, and standees.
- Localized Offers: Assist in designing location-specific campaigns or hyper-local promotions (e.g., staycation discounts for residents of nearby cities).
- 5. Performance Tracking and Sales Coordination
- Daily Reporting: Document site visits, meetings with travel agents, and individual or team leads, maintaining a clear log of daily field activities.
