Job Description Summary

About the Role:

The role focuses on driving value through execution of financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and accounting activities. Based in Hyderabad, the associate supports global Novartis entities across various finance operations.


Job Description

Key requirements:

  • Support planning cycles: Budget, Latest Forecast, and Strategic Planning
  • Deliver accurate and high-quality reporting for assigned business units
  • Provide decision support for operational and strategic projects
  • Ensure adherence to Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM) and good accounting practices
  • Support productivity and offshoring initiatives
  • Track and benchmark KPIs across business units
  • Contribute to finance processes such as:
    • Record to Report (R2R)
    • Order to Cash (O2C)
    • Procure to Pay (P2P)
    • Financial Controls, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Perform risk assessments, controls testing, and process walkthroughs
  • Analyze segregation of duties and financial risk areas
  • Provide financial insights and business impact analysis

Essential requirements:

  • CA / CPA / MBA / Postgraduate degree in Finance or equivalent
  • 0–2 years of experience (suitable for freshers / early career)

Desirable requirements:

  • Strong focus on quality and accuracy of outputs
  • Effective stakeholder management and collaboration
  • Team player with a curious and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to meet KPIs (e.g., SOX timelines, control compliance, cost adherence)
