JD:
A Power BI Senior Associate (typically 4–8 years experience) designs, develops, and deploys advanced Power BI dashboards, writes complex DAX/SQL, and models data to drive business insights. They bridge technical teams and stakeholders, mentoring juniors, optimizing report performance, and ensuring data security.
Responsibilities
A Power BI Lead is responsible for driving an organization's business intelligence strategy. They oversee end-to-end data visualization projects, architect data models, and mentor technical teams. This role bridges the gap between complex backend data and actionable, executive-level insights.
Core Responsibilities
Solution Architecture: Design scalable data models, star/snowflake schemas, and data pipelines to support robust reporting.
Team Leadership: Mentor junior/senior developers, conduct code/design reviews, and enforce BI best practices.
Stakeholder Management: Gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and present insights to leadership.
Performance Tuning: Optimize DAX calculations, Power Query/M transformations, and underlying SQL queries to reduce dashboard load times.
Governance & Administration: Manage Power BI Service workspace access, deployment pipelines, and row-level security (RLS).
Required Technical Skills
Mastery of Power BI: Deep expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Server.
Advanced DAX & Power Query: Ability to write complex DAX functions and utilize M language for advanced ETL.
Database & SQL: Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and connecting to various data sources (Azure, Dataverse, Snowflake, etc.).
Qualifications & Soft Skills
Experience: Typically 8–12+ years in Business Intelligence, with at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership capacity.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate.
Communication: Exceptional ability to tell stories with data and manage cross-functional teams
B.E, B.Tech, M.E, MCA, M.Tech. Location: Hyderabad
Mandatory skill sets:Strong Proficiency in Power BI Desktop/Service, SQL, DAX, and Data Modeling (Star/Snowflake Schema).
Tools: Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python, or R is often preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300/DA-100) is highly desirable
