Job Description
A Jewellery Sales Executive is responsible for driving store revenue by engaging with customers, showcasing high-value gold, diamond, and silver pieces, explaining product specifications (carat, weight, purity), and closing sales. They act as luxury consultants to build client loyalty. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Core Customer & Sales Duties
- Client Consultation: Greet walk-in clients, actively listen to their preferences, and suggest suitable designs for weddings, gifts, or personal wear. [1, 2]
- Product Expertise: Provide detailed explanations regarding metal purity, gemstone quality, pricing, and jewelry care. [1, 2]
- Deal Closing: Negotiate prices (when applicable), up-sell complementary pieces (e.g., matching earrings with a necklace), and finalize sales using the point-of-sale (POS) system. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Relationship Management: Maintain client databases for follow-ups, special occasions, and new collection launches.
Store & Inventory Operations
- Merchandising: Arrange and maintain attractive, organized, and secure product displays.
- Stock Management: Conduct daily counts of opening and closing stock, manage inventory, and report discrepancies.
- Security: Follow strict security protocols for handling, displaying, and safely returning valuable jewelry to the vault. [1, 2, 3]
Administrative & Growth Tasks
- Sales Targets: Consistently work to meet or exceed individual and team-based monthly sales quotas.
- Reporting: Prepare sales reports and track customer feedback to share with store management and the design team.
- Promotions: Support marketing efforts by participating in in-store promotional events, bridal exhibitions, and trunk shows.
