Last Mile Delivery

Job Summary

The Last Mile Delivery Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily delivery operations, managing delivery personnel, and ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective last mile execution. This role focuses on team performance, route optimization, and delivering a high quality customer experience. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of delivery executives and drivers 
• Plan daily dispatch operations and allocate delivery routes efficiently
• Monitor real-time delivery performance and resolve on-ground issues
• Ensure high on-time delivery and first-attempt success rates
• Train, coach, and motivate team members to improve productivity 
• Coordinate with warehouse and sorting hubs for smooth order flow
• Handle escalations related to delayed, failed, or disputed deliveries
• Track and analyze key metrics to improve operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Manage attendance, shift planning, and workforce utilization 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in last mile delivery or logistics operations
• Prior experience in team handling or supervisory role
• Strong leadership and people management skills 
• Good understanding of route planning and delivery optimization
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities 
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 

Preferred Skills

• Experience in e-commerce or hyperlocal delivery operations
• Familiarity with delivery management systems and GPS tracking tools
• Basic data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, dashboards)

• On-time delivery rate (OTD)
• First attempt delivery success rate (FADR)
