Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant, Automation Engineer SRE

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Platforms

·         Deploy, manage, and automate cloud and onprem‑prem infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and load balancers.

·         Implement standardized environment provisioning using IaC modules and templates.

·         Maintain platform availability through automated patching, upgrades, and configuration management.

·         Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and cost, ensuring optimal performance and usage.

·         Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across environments with automated diagnostics and runbooks.

Kubernetes & Application Platforms

·         Deploy, configure, and automate Kubernetes clusters and application runtimes.

·         Manage application deployments using GitOps workflows, Helm charts, and CI/CD automation.

·         Implement cluster policies, scaling, and health checks through automated workflows.

·         Ensure resilience by automating rollbacks, restarts, and traffic routing mechanisms.

CI/CD & Release Automation

·         Build and maintain reusable CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery.

·         Integrate automated testing, validation, and deployment gates into pipelines.

·         Implement release strategies such as blue/green and canary with automated rollback triggers.

·         Maintain consistency and governance across delivery workflows through templates and automation.

Observability & Reliability Engineering

·         Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and telemetry pipelines for applications and infrastructure.

·         Define SLIs/SLOs and drive reliability improvements using datadriven‑driven insights.

·         Reduce toil by building auto-remediation workflows and automated incident responses.

·         Maintain dashboards, logging pipelines, and health checks for proactive issue detection.

Resilience, DR & Performance

·         Automate backup, restore, and failover procedures for critical workloads.

·         Conduct automated DR validation and periodic simulation tests.

·         Integrate performance and scalability checks into delivery pipelines.

·         Implement resilience patterns and platform-level protections through automation.

Stateful Services & Data Operations

·         Automate operations for databases, queues, and caching systems including backups, failover, and maintenance tasks.

·         Implement schema migration workflows, retention logic, and data lifecycle automation.

·         Monitor and optimize performance of data platforms with automated tooling.

·         Platform Engineering & Self‑Service

·         Build internal selfservice‑service capabilities for environment provisioning and deployments.

·         Create reusable templates, modules, and developer tooling to streamline engineering workflows.

·         Provide standardized paths ("golden paths") for application teams to reduce operational friction.

Secondary Skills – SRE & DevOps Practices

·         Apply SRE principles to improve reliability and scalability.

·         Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Collaborate with engineering teams to embed automation into development and operations processes.

·         Drive operational excellence through documentation, standards, and process automation.

·         Strong expertise in automation, IaC (Terraform/Pulumi/Ansible), and CI/CD tooling.

·         Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes platforms and modern application runtimes.

·         Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Go, Bash) for automation workflows.

·         Experience with observability stacks and SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets).

·         Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), networking, and distributed systems.

Qualification we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

·         Experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering with strong automation focus.

·         Experience supporting production environments across cloud and containerized platforms.
