Job Summary
Synechron seeks a dynamic Lead - Technology to spearhead data and analytics projects, ensuring seamless delivery of innovative, data-driven solutions to clients. This leadership role requires managing project teams, offering technical guidance, and collaborating closely with clients to translate business needs into scalable data architectures and analytics frameworks. The incumbent will contribute significantly to Synechron’s strategic goals by driving project success and enhancing client value through advanced data technologies.

Software Requirements

Required:

• Proficiency in data warehousing, data lakes, and big data platforms (experience level: 5+ years).

• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience on databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.

• Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

• Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS and Azure.

Preferred:

• ​Expertise with data modeling and governance frameworks.

• Experience with modern data integration tools and ETL platforms.

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of data & analytics projects, driving quality, timelines, and budget adherence.

• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior team members, promoting skill development and best practices.

• Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and architect data solutions that align with strategic objectives.

• Oversee data collection, cleansing, preparation, and transformation processes to ensure data integrity and usability.

• Design and implement robust data architectures, data models, and integration patterns to support analytics and reporting needs.

• Develop and communicate detailed project plans, schedules, and progress reports to stakeholders.

• Ensure alignment of analytics solutions with data governance, security, and compliance policies.

Technical Skills (By Category)

Programming Languages

• Preferred: SQL (strong proficiency required).

• Preferred: Familiarity with Python, R, or similar languages for data manipulation.

Databases/Data Management

• Required: Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server (strong experience).

• Required: Data warehousing and data lake concepts.

• Preferred: Experience with data governance frameworks.

Cloud Technologies

• Required: AWS and Azure cloud-based data solutions.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data and analytics projects, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Proven track record of leading project teams and managing successful project deliveries.

• Experience delivering data-driven solutions in diverse industries, preferably financial services or technology sectors.

• Alternative pathways: Demonstrated expertise through project leadership in data engineering or analytics across complex environments.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Lead data analysis and modeling initiatives in collaboration with clients and internal teams.

• Manage and track project delivery including creating and updating project plans and schedules.

• Conduct technical discussions and workshops with clients and team members to align on solutions.

• Mentor and support junior team members, facilitating knowledge sharing and skill development.

• Monitor project quality, progress, risks, and budget to ensure successful outcomes.

• Represent Synechron in client meetings and communicate technical deliverables and timelines clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Relevant certifications in data and analytics technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer) are a plus.
