The Impact you will have in this role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quality assurance best practices. QA automation, as well as knowledge of blockchain technology would be a plus. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing robust QA flows ensuring the secure, efficient, and innovative application of decentralized technology

Your Primary Responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage the manual testing efforts and deliverables  
• Create, review, and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts 
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure comprehensive test coverage  
• Identify, document, and track defects using project management tools  
• Collaborate with collaborators to understand requirements and translate them into detailed test cases  
• Perform both API and UI testing 
• Mentor and guide junior QA Engineers 
• Develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered
• Responsible for process compliance & associated documentation
• Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; advances appropriately

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, testing types, and processes  
• Experience in creating, reviewing, and driving test plans, test cases, and test scripts 
• Experience with defect tracking and project management tools (e.g. JIRA) 
• Experience with tools for testing REST APIs like Postman 
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior QA Engineers  
• Understanding of SQL or other database query languages 
• Working proficiency in English  
• Experience in the financial industry or with blockchain technology  
• ISTQB certifications  
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks  
• Experience in performance and/or security testing  
• Stays current on changes in their own specialist area and seeks out learning opportunities to ensure knowledge is up-to-date.
