PCB TECHNICIAN

A PCB Soldering Technician installs, repairs, and inspects electronic components (SMT and through-hole) on printed circuit boards, ensuring high-quality electrical connections using soldering irons and rework tools. They follow schematics, maintain ESD-safe environments, and inspect boards under magnification to meet industry standards. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key Responsibilities

• Hand Soldering: Perform precise SMT (surface mount) and through-hole soldering on PCBs.
• Component Rework/Repair: Replace damaged components, repair solder bridges, and rework boards using hot air tools.
• Inspection: Perform visual inspections (under microscope/magnifier) for quality assurance.
• Documentation: Review assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and maintain production records.
• Tool Maintenance: Maintain soldering stations, tips, and ensure safe usage of equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a PCB solderer or electronics assembler.
