Responsibilities

• Resolve complex technical issues and make design decisions to meet the critical requirements of scalable, highly available, multi-tenant enablement of services in cloud.
• Independently investigate, present options, review and implement completely new functionality OR re-architect an existing solution to meet growing needs
• You will work closely with other development teams, product management, UX, and QA to define and implement a new product offering while ensuring the continued functionality of the existing system.
• Work with various teams/cross-location teams to integrate with the product and help guide the integration.
• You will implement solutions that include database schema, business logic, and some presentation layer work. You will use existing methods and best practices in software industry to create features and platforms with the highest levels of security, reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Expertise in mentoring other engineers in the team.
• You will part of team's recruitment activities.
• Participate in various scrum ceremonies such as Daily scrum calls , Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospection

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor/Master degree in computer engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of making technical decisions
• Deep understanding of core computer science concepts such as algorithms, data structures, and system architecture/design.
• Great problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in Java, including advanced concepts such as multithreading, concurrency, collections, and object-oriented design principles. 
• Experience in writing SQL queries and performance tuning.
• Expertise in understanding/writing of complex SQLs, DB concepts and should have extensive experience with data-driven applications.
• Expertise in designing complex solutions, providing architectural inputs on team-wide projects and also perform technical analysis, feasibility check.
• Expertise in  writing test plans, CI/CD tools, testing of UI aspects of the web applications and developing automated scripts using any of the automation tools like Selenium or similar.
• Expertise in defining branching strategies for the team based on the project's requirement. Also, should have rich working experience with version control systems like GIT.
• Expertise in code reviews and promote good coding practices within the team.
• Good familiarity with testing pyramid, code coverage, continuous integration, performance and security testing.
• Exposure to various automation frameworks, performance and security testing and ability to design automation framework based on the project need.
• Keeps himself up-to-date in technology & processes, leads knowledge sharing strategies.
• Expertise in coaching and mentoring engineers at various levels of experience.
• Should be agile in project execution and able to shift gears based on the project needs.
• Demonstrates technical leadership across team project.
• Experience as a member of a scrum team.
• Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts.
• Experience in Advanced HTML skills: HTML5, CSS 3, XHTML, JSP would be an added advantage
• Experience working with a product based company would be an added advantage.
