Job Description
- Purchase ManagementPlan and procure raw materials, consumables, spare parts, tools, and services as per business requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize purchase orders.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.
- Monitor vendor performance based on quality, delivery, service, and cost.
- Maintain approved vendor database and conduct periodic vendor evaluations.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, finance, and sales departments for procurement planning.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval processes.
- Stores & Inventory ManagementManage receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch of materials.
- Ensure proper material identification, labeling, and storage practices.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP.
- Monitor minimum, maximum, reorder, and safety stock levels.
- Reduce excess, slow-moving, obsolete, and non-moving inventory.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile inventory differences.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards in stores.
- ERP & DocumentationGenerate Purchase Orders (POs) in ERP.
- Verify Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes (MIN), Stock Transfer Notes (STN), and Gate Entry records.
- Maintain purchase files, vendor agreements, invoices, and statutory documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement and inventory MIS reports.
