Job Title: Food Service Captain

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Food Service Captain to join our team at our restaurant/hotel in Solapur. The Food Service Captain will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient food and beverage service, leading the service staff, and maintaining high-quality standards in customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Service:
• 
  
• Greet and welcome guests in a polite and professional manner.
• Assist in seating arrangements and take food and beverage orders.
• Ensure timely and efficient service, maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere.
• Address customer concerns and ensure guest satisfaction by resolving issues promptly.
• Team Leadership:
• 
  
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the service staff, including servers, waiters, and stewards.
• Assign duties to the service team and monitor performance.
• Conduct daily briefings to update the team on any special promotions, events, or menu changes.
• Train and mentor junior staff in service standards, guest interactions, and company policies.
• Operations:

• Oversee the setup of dining areas, including table arrangements, cleanliness, and decoration.
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in compliance with health regulations.
• Sales and Upselling:

• Suggest and promote daily specials, upselling food and beverage items to increase sales.
• Assist in managing guest reservations and accommodating special requests.
• Cash Handling:
• 
  
• Process guest payments and ensure accurate billing.
• Assist in the daily closing procedures and ensure cash and credit handling procedures are followed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Food Service Captain or similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food and beverage services and basic inventory management.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Degree in Hotel Management is a plus).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in food service or hospitality.
• Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is preferred.
