Job Description

1. Strategic Sales ResponsibilitiesThese are the high-level goals the executive is accountable for.

  • Revenue Generation: Achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets for TMT steel tonnage and cement bag volumes.
  • Market Expansion: Identifying and penetrating new geographic territories or construction niches (e.g., transitioning from residential to industrial projects).
  • Key Account Management: Acting as the primary point of contact for "Tier 1" contractors and developers to ensure long-term loyalty.
  • Brand Positioning: Ensuring the brand is perceived as high-quality and technically superior to cheaper, generic alternatives.
  • Credit & Risk Management: Overseeing the collection of payments and assessing the creditworthiness of new contractors to prevent bad debt.

2. Core Marketing ResponsibilitiesThese focus on visibility and "pull" demand.

  • Lead Generation: Building a "pipeline" of upcoming construction projects before they even break ground.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Influencing the "influencers"—architects, structural engineers, and government consultants who specify which brands should be used.
  • Competitor Intelligence: Analyzing rival pricing, discount structures, and delivery speeds to maintain a competitive edge.

3. Specific Daily & Weekly TasksThis is what a typical "day in the life" looks like for this role.

  • Sales & Field TasksSite Inspections: Physically visiting 3–5 active construction sites daily to meet with Project Managers and Site Engineers.
  • Technical Presentations: Conducting "Toolbox Talks" or presentations for masons and contractors on the benefits of specific grades (e.g., why $Fe\ 550D$ is better for seismic zones).
  • Quotation Drafting: Preparing formal "Per-Ton" or "Per-Bag" price quotes, including transport costs and bulk discounts.
  • Order Tracking: Following up with the dispatch yard to ensure that a 30-ton TMT delivery isn't stuck in traffic while a crane is waiting on-site.
