Senior Accountant

Looking for someone who manages the financial records and transactions for companies involved in construction, heavy machinery, and large-scale projects like roads, buildings, and bridges.

Duties and responsibilities as below :

Prepare project-wise Profit & Loss (P&L) statements on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Monitor project revenues, expenses, and profitability against budgets.

Record and reconcile all accounting transactions in ERP/Tally.

Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, journals, and general ledger reconciliations.

Prepare monthly financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.

Track project costs including:

• Excavation and earthwork
• Diesel and fuel consumption
• Machinery and equipment operating costs
• Labour and subcontractor payments
• Material purchases
• Site overhead expenses

Analyze cost variances and recommend cost-saving measures.

Prepare job costing and cost allocation for multiple construction sites.

Verify vendor bills, subcontractor invoices, and client billing.

Coordinate with project managers to monitor project progress and financial performance.

Manage accounts payable and receivable.

Prepare cash flow statements and forecast project funding requirements.

Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and annual audits.

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory regulations.

Reconcile bank statements and maintain fixed asset registers.

Support management with financial analysis for tendering and project estimation.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Profit & Loss accounting, project accounting, and cost accounting.
• Experience with Tally Prime, ERP systems, MS Excel (Advanced), and accounting software.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, payroll, and statutory compliance.
• Ability to prepare financial reports and analyze project profitability.
• 4–10 years of accounting experience in construction, earthwork, infrastructure, or civil engineering companies.
