Senior Supplier Innovation Engineer

Job Description

What you can look forward to as Supplier Innovation Engineer:
Act as a key interface between internal ZF stakeholders (R&D, Product Development, Purchasing, Strategy, Business Units) and suppliers to translate market, customer, and OEM requirements into innovation opportunities.
•    Capture and analyze market trends, customer expectations, OEM roadmaps, and regulatory requirements relevant to ZF products and technologies. Facilitate supplier engagement and innovation workshops to communicate ZF’s market needs and strategic priorities.
•    Convert market and customer needs clearly defined innovation challenges and opportunity statements for suppliers, Scout and evaluate emerging technologies, concepts, and solutions proposed by suppliers, startups, and technology partners.
•    Manage the collection, screening, and assessment of supplier innovation ideas with respect to technical feasibility, maturity, and strategic fit Enable early visibility of supplier technology roadmaps and assess their relevance to ZF’s future product portfolio.
•    Support technology benchmarking and competitive analysis within the supplier innovation landscape. Collaborate with Engineering, Advanced Development, and Purchasing to evaluate innovation proposals from both market pull and technology push perspectives.
•    Support idea prioritization and decision making based on value, readiness level, risk, cost, and business impact. Ensure alignment of innovation activities with ZF strategy, product roadmaps, and sustainability goals.

Your Profile as Supplier Innovation Engineer:
•    Bachelor’s degree in any stream. (Engineering will be added advantage)
•    Must have 5-9 Years of Experience Act as subject matter expert. Remain fully informed on market trends. Keep up to date with research techniques and innovative thinking in the industry.
•    Excellent Communication Skills both written and verbal. 
•    Automotive market research knowledge would be added advantage.
