Responsibilities include:

• Sourcing Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for capital projects, aligning with BMS’s Capital Plan

  • Oversee RFPs, vendor negotiations, and contract management to maximize value

• Supplier Relationship Management (SRM):

  • Lead the SRM program, managing preferred suppliers and evaluating performance

  • Conduct regular supplier meetings to discuss performance and develop negotiation strategies

• Collaboration & Alignment:

  • Work with internal stakeholders including Global Engineering, Site Engineering, and Site Procurement

  • Ensure that sourcing strategies align with operational and project needs

• Compliance & Best Practices:

  • Uphold policy compliance and procurement best practices in all activities

  • Align equipment category management with project strategies

• Technology & Reporting:

  • Utilize Ariba Procure to Pay platform for sourcing activities

  • Collaborate with Finance to quantify procurement savings and implement project documentation systems

• Management & Organization:

  • Define strategic plans, ensure governance, compliance, and mobilize site procurement teams

  • Support a cohesive approach to procurement aligned with business objectives

These responsibilities ensure that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Reports to:

• Director, SS&P Capital Services & Solutions, Major Projects

• The Senior Manager role is an individual contributor role

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field

• 5+ years in procurement or related category experience

• Demonstrated expertise in engineering and construction procurement

• Strong category management, data analysis, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills

Familiarity with procurement technology and strategic planning

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
