Job Description
Position: Site Supervisor – Interior Fit-Out Works
Department: Projects / Operations
Reporting To: Project Manager / Project Engineer
Job SummaryThe Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day interior fit-out activities at project sites, ensuring work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Execution & Supervision
- Supervise all interior fit-out activities including civil works, gypsum partitions, false ceilings, flooring, painting, carpentry, electrical, networking, glazing, and furniture installation.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, vendors, and site workers.
- Monitor productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Quality Control
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets project quality standards.
- Identify and rectify defects, non-conformities, and workmanship issues.
- Ensure proper material handling and installation procedures are followed.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Architects, Consultants, and Clients for smooth execution.
- Track site progress and report daily work status.
- Assist in preparing work schedules and monitoring project milestones.
Material Management
- Verify material deliveries and maintain material consumption records.
- Ensure adequate availability of materials and tools at site.
- Monitor wastage and implement cost-control measures.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety regulations and company HSE policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers use appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily progress reports, manpower records, and site registers.
- Record measurements and assist in preparing billing quantities.
- Report delays, issues, and site constraints to management.
- QualificationDiploma / ITI / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Additional certifications in construction management or safety will be an advantage.
- Experience3–8 years of experience in interior fit-out, commercial office, institutional, or retail projects.
- Experience in handling turnkey interior projects preferred.
- Skills RequiredAbility to read and interpret construction and interior drawings.
- Knowledge of interior fit-out materials and installation methods.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and project reporting.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site workforce effectively.
