Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer / Solar Power Plant Technician

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Technician to join our utility-scale solar power plant operations team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar power plants, substations, and electrical power distribution systems.

The candidate must possess strong knowledge of 33 kV/11 kV substations, HT/LT electrical systems, power transformers, transformer testing and maintenance, VCBs, RMUs, CT/PTs, switchgear, protection relays, control and relay panels, metering systems, cable laying and termination, earthing systems, lightning protection, and grid synchronization. Experience with SCADA, inverter monitoring systems, communication networks, and transmission/evacuation lines is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include preventive and breakdown maintenance of solar plant electrical equipment, transformers, substations, inverters, switchyards, and HT/LT networks; monitoring plant performance; fault diagnosis and rectification; coordination with DISCOMs, transmission utilities, EPC contractors, and OEMs; conducting electrical testing and commissioning; ensuring statutory compliance; maintaining maintenance records; and implementing best practices for plant reliability, safety, and maximum energy generation.

The successful candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or possess equivalent qualifications as a licensed Electrician with relevant industry experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in utility-scale solar power plants, substations, or power generation facilities is preferred.

The ideal applicant should be capable of independently managing site electrical operations, supervising technicians, reading single-line diagrams and electrical drawings, operating electrical testing instruments, and responding effectively to emergency breakdowns. A strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement is essential.
