About the team: 

Manage the complete lifecycle of electronic components, including selection, qualification, change control, and obsolescence management. Coordinate cross functionally and externally with component suppliers, ZF’s hardware design, purchasing, and production teams to ensure effective component management. Awareness of compliance and risk management by adhering to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and by performing change management and risk assessments for electronic components.

• Proficient in interpreting electronic component requirements and executing part release activities using PLM tools.
• Experienced in managing electronic component lifecycle, addressing obsolescence issues and creating Change Requests (CRs) for data management.
• Familiar with material compliance standards such as RoHS, REACH, PFAS, and AEC-Q.
• Skilled in handling Product Change Notifications (PCNs) and Supplier Change Requests (SCRs), including conducting risk assessments.
• Analyzing Test Results based on ZVEI Matrix and AEC Q Standards
• Capable of recommending alternative components (FFF Format) and providing expert guidance to project and change management teams on component selection.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Windchill, Silicon Expert and EDM Library Cockpit is considered an advantage.

Your profile as Specialist - Electronic Component Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification in the field of electronics.
• Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing or hardware development is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for component selection is preferred.
• Background in component technologies (both electronic and mechanical) is considered an advantage.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Demonstrates an independent, analytical, and structured approach to work.
• Excellent organizational and coordination abilities, with a strong sense of teamwork and resilience under pressure.
