Working Hours: 12:00pm to 9.00pm IST

Must Have Skills: SQL Database Development, Stored Procedures, Database Schemas, Performance Optimization, SSIS, Upgradations, Migrations, Security Management, SQL Sentry tool(good to have)

 

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in MS SQL, performance optimizations, and archive handling. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure high performance, availability, and security.

• Design, develop, and maintain MS SQL databases.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
• Handle database archiving and data retention policies.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement and maintain database security measures.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
• Perform database migrations and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain documentation for database systems and processes.
• Provide support for database-related issues and incidents.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.

• Strong knowledge in writing and optimizing stored procedures (SPs).
• Expertise in creating and managing database schemas.
• Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL.
• Strong knowledge of database performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with database archiving and data retention.
• Familiarity with database security best practices.
• Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) jobs.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
• Knowledge of other database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with database automation and scripting.
