Job Summary

The Inventory & Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our product stock. This role bridges physical warehouse management and digital inventory data. Key duties include forecasting demand, ordering inventory from suppliers, organizing warehouse storage, and owning the digital product catalog through GS1 compliance and barcode creation. The ideal candidate ensures the right products are in stock, correctly labeled, and organized for seamless business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Control & Demand Planning

• Monitor daily inventory levels across all warehouse storage locations.
• Analyze sales trends and stock depletion rates to forecast future inventory needs.
• Establish and adjust reorder points to prevent stockouts and minimize excess holding costs.

2. Procurement & Supplier Relations

• Initiate, place, and track purchase orders (POs) with international and domestic suppliers.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely arrival of goods.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders to resolve discrepancies in quantity or quality.

3. Warehouse & Operations Management

• Oversee warehouse organization, space utilization, and layout optimization.
• Supervise or execute safe loading, unloading, shelving, and picking processes.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle audits to ensure system accuracy.

4. Barcode Creation & Data Maintenance

• Act as the company's primary point of contact for GS1 and global identification standards.
• Secure and register unique codes (GTINs/UPCs/EANs) via the GS1 portal for all new product variants.
• Design, generate, and print physical barcode labels for products, inner cartons, and shipping pallets.
• Maintain the master database (ERP/PIM system) to ensure barcodes link flawlessly to correct product metadata.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or procurement.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Inventory Management Software, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Zoho, Odoo).
• Barcode Expertise: Direct experience using the GS1 DataHub portal and barcode design software (e.g., BarTender, ZebraDesigner).
• Analytical Skills: Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to track numbers and predict stock requirements.
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift inventory items when verifying shipments.
