Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain the IT infrastructure of our college. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and efficiency of our networks, servers, and computer systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, proactive system monitoring, and excellent communication abilities to support faculty, staff, and students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control for faculty, staff, and students.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system security.
• Implement data backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for system upgrades and maintenance.
• Document IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
• Proficiency in Windows/Linux server administration.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
• Experience with cloud services (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with database management, backup solutions, and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
