About Alter Hub
Alter Hub is a doorstep garment alteration service that helps customers get their clothes altered without visiting a tailor. We pick up garments from customers, perform professional alterations at our studio, and deliver them back within a short turnaround time.
We are looking for a skilled Tailor/Alteration Specialist to join our growing team.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform alterations on men's, women's, and children's garments.
- Handle common alterations such as:
- Length adjustments
- Waist alterations
- Sleeve shortening/lengthening
- Narrowing and fitting adjustments
- Zip replacement and repairs
- Minor garment repairs and modifications
Requirements
- Ensure high-quality stitching and finishing.
- Follow customer measurements and alteration instructions accurately.
- Conduct quality checks before garments are dispatched.
- Experience in garment alteration and tailoring.
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines.
- Knowledge of different fabrics and garment constructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple orders.
- Basic communication skills in Telugu, Hindi, or English.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in tailoring shops, boutiques, or alteration centers.
- Ability to alter formal wear, ethnic wear, and western garments.
- Understanding of garment fitting and measurements.
